A Legendary Man

A woman once told me of a man who once loved his other and wanted nothing but to make her happy and couldn't imagine hurting her. She described a real person, not some archetypical character you find in love stories. There was someone out there who transcended the politics of dating and found what some people spend their whole lives searching for. He did it by being the person that people spend their whole life searching for. Knowing that there was someone out there like that made me want to be that man.
