Las Vegas Eats

Vegas has good food.

Friday afternoon... The Buffet at Excalibur

A buffet where all the food is good. Hometown Buffet, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Saturday afternoon... Chang's at Bally's

What used to be the Ol' Dirty Chinese Restaurant (Chang's) across the Catholic Church turned into Lucky Cheng's, THE DRAG QUEEN CAPITAL OF THE WORLD (as advertised on the banner.) So we went to Bally's, where Chang's had transferred, and found a sadiddy restaurant that only serves dinner after 6. The prices were high but the food backed it up. It's a lot different than the old school cheap dim sum placed it used to be. Maybe we'll try Lucky Cheng's next time.

Saturday night... Fresh Harvest Cafe (Sam's Town): 4.99 STEAK AND EGGS!

If people gave oral pleasure for money and steak and eggs were the currency, then Vegas is just giving up the goodies too easily. $4.99 for steak and eggs!!! You can't beat that. Vegas can feed the whole world's red light district for that price.

Sunday noon... Sonic's: America's Ultimate Drink Stop

Apparently, they serve good food too. The burgers are somewhere between McDonald's and In-N-Out. They serve tater tots if you don't want fries. Up until now, Sonic's was just a mystery, a legend passed down by oral tradition. The Valley definitely could use one.

i too have found the elusive sonic. i travelled all the way to anaheim to see if the legend was true.
the power to create watermelon and strawberry cokes was too tempting for mere mortals to resist.
