Colehiyo

The college applications are out right now. To Abbie, I want to wish you the best of luck even though you don't need it. You'll do fine. The same goes for Armand. But to Armand, we fitna let you know, that wherever you are, we comin' to get you. That's my word.

College students, I know we're all busy and we all got things to do, but let us not forget about the people.

And now for a short proverb told by a Korean...

"I don't get Filipinos. Most Koreans will take their children and put them in public schools their whole lives for free. In the end, they know that the college matters. They don't mind sending them to public school just as long as they see their kids make it to a university. Filipinos are the opposite. You will dish out tens of thousands of dollars to send your kids to the finest Catholic schools. And then more money to send them to private high schools. But as soon as they reach college, it's like you don't care anymore. You don't mind seeing them enter community college or a Cal State."

Maybe we all got extra money on the side that just needs to be spent...

Lastly, on any campus, it's pretty sad if you find more real people in frats than you do in the Filipino Community.
